Fees

Many clients have HMOs or other insurance that cover the cost of service. The Wilmington Family Counseling Service, Inc. is a provider for the following carriers:

• Blue Cross/Blue Shield (all products including HMO Blue, Blue Care Elect, Network Blue, BC/BS POS Plan, Federal BC/BS)
• CIGNA
• First Health
• Harvard-Pilgrim
• Healthcare Value Management
• Medicare
• Neighborhood Health Plan
• Private Healthcare Systems
• TeamstersCare
• UNICARE (GIC Indemnity Plan)
• United Healthcare or United Behavioral Health
• Value Options including TRICARE
  
• And many other insurance companies
  

For Wilmington residents without health insurance, the Wilmington Family Counseling Service has a contract with the Wilmington Board of Health to provide counseling and therapy to residents of the town. For residents of Wilmington, the town and the Merrimack Valley United Way subsidize the cost of service. Fees are determined by the total family income and the number of dependents in the family, and range from $15 to $125.

The fee for clients without health insurance from other communities is $125.

Confidentiality
All information about clients is kept in the strictest confidence. Your presence at the Wilmington Family Counseling Service is regarded as a highly private matter and is not revealed to any person or agency without your written permission. The Wilmington Family Counseling Center is accountable to the Board of Directors and the Wilmington Board of Health; however, the names of clients are never revealed to either group.
