Patricia J. Kenney, Ph.D.
I am a psychologist and also a registered nurse. I work primarily with an adult population over the age of 18.
My experience includes counseling patients represented by a wide range of psychological disorders anxiety, panic attacks, depression, relationship issues, grief loss, and trauma.
Due to my nursing background, I treat individuals who are dealing with emotional issues related to medical illnesses such as diabetes, heart disease, and cancer.
I have a particular interest and extensive experience counseling women who are in transition both at mid-life and beyond.
My Training
I received a degree in Nursing from St. Joseph’s College in West Hartford, and a doctorate in psychology from Boston College. I’ve practiced in the field for over 25 years. In addition to private practice, I was Director of Out Patient Mental Health Services at North Shore Medical Center in Salem, Ma. In that role I was responsible for the supervision of staff and psychology interns as well as program development.
